viramati Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3241 Posted December 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) What would be great if the Sony are serious about us wanting to use m mount lenses is to bring out an adaptor like the fuji one. It is really good as you have 6 presets that you can adjust the vignetting, distortion, edge colours etc for each different lens just by pressing a button on the side of the adaptor. really great idea

Stealth3kpl Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3242 Posted December 3, 2013 What would be great if the Sony are serious about us wanting to use m mount lenses is to bring out an adaptor like the fuji one. Or another body with a sensor designed for all M lenses. Man, they'd clean up! Pete
redid Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3243 Posted December 3, 2013 Which 35lux did you use in the last image? Non-FLE? Same question to michali. Which 35? Pete I used the ASPH pre FLE.
zlatkob Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3244 Posted December 3, 2013 I used the ASPH pre FLE. That lens has a really nice look, a bit better than the new Sony/Zeiss 35/2.8, judging from the online samples. Even so, your many reasons for choosing the A7r make sense and are pretty compelling. redid Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3245 Posted December 3, 2013 thanks. It looks better indeed. I am not selling my leica lenses so far!
sblitz Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3246 Posted December 3, 2013 so it appears that the digital age has caught up to film, in that what makes a leica a leica is the lens and not the box attached to it?
uhoh7 Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3247 Posted December 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey, I put my order in 5-minutes after the end of the live video release on the web. Had nothing to do with you and I certainly don't think you are an idiot... don't be so hard on yourself. But, if you are up my way I'll by you a pint anyway. By the way, this is a really nice camera just shooting it around the house tonight. I can't tell too much just looking at the camera screen so, it will be interesting to shoot the M240, RX1, and the A7R this weekend and then getting a chance to see them on a big screen. One thing, shooting these three cameras tonight at 2500-6400 ISO and at 35mm...I realize again that the RX1 is just an amazing camera. The Leica can't quite keep up at ISO. I'm not sure yet how the A7R with the 35 LUX FLE fits in... certainly, color at higher ISO is real nice. /Yes but what would Puts think? you got all the good toys. crony by unoh7, on Flickr My "Crony"
viramati Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3248 Posted December 3, 2013 /Yes but what would Puts think? you got all the good toys. crony by unoh7, on Flickr My "Crony" Interesting I have tried the 28 cron on the A7 and though it seems to work quite well I find focussing so much easier and quicker on M(240) especially if you stop down at all. I really feel that the widest I will use on the A7 is 35 mainly because of ease of focussing issues
k-hawinkler Posted December 3, 2013 Share #3249 Posted December 3, 2013 The CA could be eliminated or pretty much made invisible in post. So it shouldn't be a problem, certainly when shooting raw.

woorob Posted December 4, 2013 Share #3253 Posted December 4, 2013 Seems as though US models get a one-year warranty, while [i think] UK buyers get a four year warranty. What gives?

uhoh7 Posted December 4, 2013 Share #3256 Posted December 4, 2013 I wonder why nobody is taping up that rather prominent Sony badge for “stealth”. I've seen this already on flickr--and I will do it. My daughter, 14 who has a nex with MF glass she loves, saw the A7r and thought "it was just one of your old film cameras, dad" When I handed it too her to try she could not believe it. naturephoto1 Posted December 4, 2013 Share #3257 Posted December 4, 2013 So Rich, you too are now peeking down the rabbit hole? Rick, Not yet, only about 67% battery charge. After that I will start to try to figure out how to set up the camera and then to start playing with so lenses. I suspect that I will not get too far tonight as it is about 8:00 and have a lot more to charge the first battery. I will probably charge the 2nd overnight and if I wake up charge the third. Unfortunately we are still waiting for the new Sony AC charger to become available. After that I will try to start taking some images hopefully tomorrow. algrove Posted December 4, 2013 Share #3258 Posted December 4, 2013 Rich I just ordered the Watson dual battery charger from B&H which for use with the grip then 2 in grip and 2 in charger sounds about right to me. It also comes with a car charger. Not cheap, but reminds me of Phase One dual battery chargers.
