tobey bilek Posted September 11, 2013 Share #21 Posted September 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The light shield around the shutter leaks. Age issue, although I had it happen with fairly new M6 cameras. It will be replaced with updated mylar ones that will last forever. But one of many age deterioration issues just like cars. I always tell people not to buy no matter how good they look unless they are willing to spend big money on repairs.

donkeyshots Posted September 12, 2013 Author Share #22 Posted September 12, 2013 Hey guys! I developed the 2nd film and it's not the development. The effect looks exactly the same. And I developed an other film (shot with a M5) without this effect. I shot with the summicron 50mm collapsable and a voigtlaender 40mm nokton. Both Lenses show the same effect. So it's about the camera. It's going to get a revision! I hope the cam will work better after it. I'll keep you informed! Thank again for many answers!! earleygallery Posted September 25, 2013 Share #25 Posted September 25, 2013 Thank you for updating us. I expect it will be internal light seals for the viewfinder/rangefinder, as per my original response. Be nice to know if I'm right!

donkeyshots Posted March 13, 2014 Author Share #28 Posted March 13, 2014 Hey! Here is my last update: The M3 was in service and it was a lightleak! BUT: It was not easy to fix it, because there was no more repairkit for this camera. Even leica did not have it. But now the Problem is gone. Thread can be closed.
