We all have our personal reasons. Last time I checked, the M was the only mirror-less FF camera on the market and the best one for Leica M glass. I am not willing to carry 15+ pounds of equipment anymore, so small advantages in high ISO performance or better out of the box white balance are not strong enough arguments for me to change my mind. Pete I am embarrassed for you for writing such rubbish. Those photos capture the moment perfectly! I doubt you will ever take a single image of such value- no matter how sharp your lens- and how 'up to date' your camera. And to say old lenses are not good: are we then to assume that all old photos are no good? Poor Atjet would roll in his grave listening to such nonsense. This review was linked on another website I visit and I refrained from commenting there. The reason this gentleman is disgruntled has nothing to do with his camera gear but his health. He's had cataracts and had them repaired and of course is still wearing glasses. He makes the excuse about how difficult it is to manually focus with the new M. What he doesn't say but I think the real reason he sold his M9 in 2011 is his eyesight was already going bad. His excuse is be sold it on the rumors of the new M. He hasn't said this in relation to his M 'rant' and even if so it is no excuse for him saying the vast majority of M8 and M9 photographers post out of focus pictures and don't know what they are doing (as if he does). That is really difficult for me to understand. So, experts use B&W and the rest are novices? Horse pucky! Are you saying that later technology dictates aesthetics? I now have an M9 and whilst I'm aware that it's not the most technically advanced camera available it's a camera I enjoy using and that's all there is to it.
