I don't quite understand, why You are playing with the old lenses. Buy the new fantastic S-lenses. Why to photograph with inferior second class lenses?

Maybe those second rate old lenses are full of character ?

Many M users like their ancient ltm Japanese, Swiss, German or Russian lenses and use them on their modern M-cameras.

Just a thought :-)

Hi Vintola :

I have all the S- series lenses but after a while I let go them all. Only keeping the S 24/3.5. I found that the new S lenses are too modern. It's good for product and commercial shootings. I am much more happier to play with all the old lenses. They are a lot more fun and always give your surprises. Isn't this is what photography is all about?

Most of these old lenses does has their inferior design but the glasses they used are far more better than the new one. Most of these glasses were hand made. Some 'defect' on imagae is unavoiable. However, that's what make it fun for me. Also, each everyone of this old lenses represent a history of it's time and allow us to go back to history and admire those who dedicate their life in making the optical world that we are living in now.

This is my personal point of view and of course many others won't agree.

Cheers,

Jeff
