You created an interesting abstract scene!

Here comes another panoramic shot, made out of 5 pictures in portrait mode, merged in Lightroom. Of course there was some post processing necessary, as this was shot shortly after sunset and I exposed for the lights to retain the colors and structure in the sky with the nice clouds. It is also not tack sharp, as I failed to hold the camera steady enough in my hands for the 1/30th sec. 😪

Nice work on this image. Not being as sharp as you wished does not take away from the image. I think it helps give it a mellow look.

A rather cliched shot, but without sun there would be no light to paint with :)

Highline Park at the Whitney-

I just returned from weekend travel up to B.C. where I did the unthinkable and took a couple "other" cameras. So in lieu of anything new from my XV, here's one from the NY trip that I neglected to post. it is fun seeing everyone else's new pics here.

Meanwhile, I haven't had the pleasure of taking my XV out on a road trip yet... I've been stuck in my non-formal garden playing with the XV and the flowers.

And, in processing, as you've no doubt noticed, my usual practice is to convert the raw file in Capture One and make subtle adjustments in PS, resize to jpeg for sharing. But in learning the attributes of this camera, lens, sensor, software... of the digital cameras I've used, the jpegs out of camera are pretty amazing and need little work. Rather than posting the entire series, from bloom to end of cycle, I'll make a folder to post elsewhere.

thank you farhiz. When I get the folder together I will definitely post the link. I'm also in the process of reviewing some images from this flower bed from previous years, and a couple different cameras.

Love the colors here Tom but also depth created with the essentially two planes of focus...foreground flowers in focus, but also so disconnected, :) and those other flowers further back.
