Fun to see this Dave. I visited Lethbridge for a conference back in about '95 and went for a run as I recall taking us into a coulee there.

Hi David,

Red Rock Coulee is south of Medicine Hat (about 30km) and is a really cool place to visit. On a clear day you can see the Sweetgrass Hills in Montana in the distance as it it quite close to the US border. We have visited a few times and it is usually so quiet as there are very few visitors which is kinda nice. When it rains there the soil turns to a horrible sticky, slippery mess and is not good for walking around.

Sue, (my better half) kid's live in Lethbridge and there are some similar coulees around the area so usually when we go to see the kids we combine it with a photo trip which is what we did this time.

Thanks for the comment.

Dave

The more familiar I become with this camera, the more impressed I am. As mentioned in earlier posts, my usual practice has been to shoot both raw and jpeg, most often processing the raw file. With the XV files I am finding the out of camera jpegs to not need any adjustments.

The attached files are from a recent visit to Portland's Japanese Garden.

(for some reason unbeknownst to me, i was unable to load the image in the dimension I usually do, so i reduced the file size and jpeg quality)

One more for Kurt- this one, similar to the above post 2907, is a different frame, showing more of the ground. Also processed from the raw file, using Capture One, with resizing in PS.

From the same evening. This lady in red let her girlfriend take a whole book full of pictures against the sunset. I took the opportunity to take some shots, too :)

The ceiling of St. Stephens Cathredal in Passau - Bavaria. The level of detail in this shot is truly amazing.
