Karl G Posted June 10, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted June 10, 2013 Very nice chipmunk photos, and nice to see them with their cheeks stuffed full. It makes the pictures, which are very nice, even more interesting than if you had taken the same shots as they paused on the way from their burrows. platypus Posted June 12, 2013 Share #15 Â Posted June 12, 2013 Stuart, So cute with their fat little faces! We have neither chipmunks nor squirrels over here (as I guess you know) only heaps of possums which are too nocturnal to make good portrait subjects, for me anyway. Dee. stuny Posted June 12, 2013 Author Share #16 Â Posted June 12, 2013 Peter M & Brent - Thank you. Â Dee - Thank you. Yes, other than introduced species Oz has no placental mamals other than bats and other small rodents that probably rafted or flew from Indonesia or PNG. In truly ancient times placental and marsupial mamals did co-exist, but they have long since past.
