A little bit of mist puts a spell on every landscape and transforms it to a mythical surrounding... love it, Rog.

Orignal Rolleiflex, Tessar 75/4.5, TriX at 800

There are few cameras more suitable for kids ( and horses ) than a Rolleiflex... but to achieve such a nice result with the old, let's be honest-quite dark screen is quite a feat.. Chapeau, Wayne !

Filmno. 6, still amazed with the amount of details film gives even though the scans aren’t that big. I know the images aren’t that interesting, but the rollei is hard to focus, so I need to practice. As I had some exposures left, I just shot around. The portraits I made on this roll all failed, due to lack of focus on 2.8. My bad. But, it is a journey…

Olaf,  i completely agree: the amount of detail on a well exposed and well developed MF negative is amazing. As to the portraits:  I often find the DOF of the 80 mm lens with aperture 2,8 often a bit tight for a portrait....why don't you start at f 4.0 or even 5,6 --provided you have a "quiet" background ?

Apart from that ( just my "deformation professionelle" ) : have you tried your reading or computer  glasses with the Rollei screen ?

What a find, Phil ! The guys sitting according to their size, culminating in that iconic 2CV hump back... superb !

@Kl@usW.regarding small DOF, you are right, it is too tight, so I need to up the iso and/or add light. Really forgot that iso100 is too little.

regarding the glasses: i use them some old ones which are maybe .5 off so I will give it a try with my latest reading glasses. Thanks.

Garenin Blackhouse Village, Isle of Lewis.

A coastal crofting village that was inhabited until 1974.  Garenin has been restored and is part living museum and part accommodation for people who wish to stay there.  Blackhouses were the traditional method of building houses for centuries in the Western Isles, there are remains of Blackhouses all over the Islands.

I stayed here for a week around 25 years ago, a wonderful place to hang out.  So peaceful and cosy inside!
