Great shot Mike.

Talk about a coincidence though - as I was writing the post above, I tried to remember where I'd actually SEEN a Leica for the first time.

That's right - Blarney Castle. The guy taking pictures of those of us foolish enough to try to kiss the Blarney stone (the outcrop on the top right in your picture) was using an M2. I am right now looking at the souvenir painted stone I still have in front of me on my desk.

Thank you for a wonderful memory (and photograph).

I did follow this by kissing the stone. These days the camera is digital, the photos are terrible but I did buy them.  😁

These are really nice. If you look up Scottish artist ‘Paul Furneaux’ I think you’ll like his Japanese ‘Mokuhanga’ work. We have three.

Had a chance to try some street food in Batam Indonesia. He is cooking some skewers on a bbq. Everyone sit outside on the floor and eat food from various stalls. Very tasty and a great experience.

Oh, Phil. This is the planet where photography becomes poetry, where the rare earth palette of Windsor & Newton paints the Kodachrome magic of dream landscapes.

Thanks, Graeme. Furneaux’s woodblock prints are simply extraordinary. He takes color field abstraction to a new level with his large Mokuhanga prints (2’x5’ and larger), as well as his sculptural wall hanging pieces that are actually polyptychs. And, you have three of his Mokuhanga prints, you lucky dog! Furneaux is certainly a national treasure. Thanks so much for the heads up.
