so cool!

Thanks, Ken. As a child, I was scolded for dribbling, and later in life, I have tried to put this to use particularly with respect to basketball.

@Rennrocky Very nice - I am wondering if you used a tripod or monopod, and what shutter speed did you use?

I love longer exposures where elements are in sharp focus and the people re reduced to abstract blur because of their motion.  I make those kind of shots whenever the opportunity presents itself.

MD 2; CV 21/4; Yellow filter, Rollei "Paul & Reinhold" Special Edition 100 Years,  ISO /  ASA 29 / 640  at box speed, Rodinal 1+50

I have found a peculiar phenomena when shooting my MDa composing a particular object with all the elements falling into place, which results in a marked increase in the heat of the silver chrome of the MDa. I thought perhaps that it was coincidental and decided to test this phenomena with a kind of placebo "garbage" shot to see if there was a heat register, and sure enough, there was a definite cooling of the silver chrome confronted with visual garbage. So, putting the question directly to you, given you have the wondrous black chrome Canadian MD-2, did you perceive to your touch any elevated heat factor with your riverside landscape? Or, do you call this a riverscape, or perhaps just an escape? Whatever, it's hot.

No tripod. Put it on a showcase. 1 or 2 seconds shutter speed

Grain or not (and grain doesn't bother me at all), the problem -- as i mentioned earlier -- is that 35mm film cannot replicate the more nuanced tonality of a larger format.

Case(s) in point:

These were all taken with a Mamiya RZ67.

Even with these web-sized images, the difference is apparent.  Still, I have abandoned MF for the versatility of 35mm.

These terrific portraits are some of the best presented in this thread, if not the LUF in general. It is so wonderful to have so much talented photographers at on place!

Just in case of confusion amongst the ‘I like film’ community. In the sport where one dribbles the ball, the pitch is laid out with a ‘goal bag’ at either end. In the other, the ‘goal bag’ is on a stick, one at either end of the court /pitch, or whatever it’s called. 😂

What a superb photo of Pippa, Chris. I don't know what it is with you medical doctors, but you make both excellent photographers and brilliant models :)

Continuing to try to make 35mm look as good as MF. This was Plus-X rated at 400, developed in Diafine, and shot through an Olympus OM-2n with an 85mm/f2 lens. One strobe from the left, and a continuous light on the backdrop to soften the shadow. 1/60 @ f5.6.

(I hate to simulate a millennial BSG fan but) Oh. My. Gods. This is truly sublime Phil, I can't take my eyes off that blossom, the exposure is just off the charts good.

And then this – Bravo Bo. What a delightful range of tones. It looks like the bushes hug (or devour haha) the building.
