Really cool shot, I think. Otherworldly somehow.

There's nothing like trying to execute on a vertical pano in pitch black darkness waiting for the sun to rise.  But thanks to the headlight that @MT0227 caused me to buy I was able to get everything perfectly level and in place in advance of the onset of dawn  :)

Sunrise, Dead Sea, Ektar, Technorama, 90mm

By the way, the format of this makes a wonderful wallpaper for an iPhone, particularly anything X or later 😉

My Pentax 6x7 does work perfectly, in spite of it was just CLA'ed, so I rarely use it. Not sure why, this last roll came out without the usual defects.

I like this. Sort of an untamed appearance. Reminds me of the results from the Astrum 400.

Best,

Wayne

750 miles/1200km, 18 hours round-trip, 8 rolls, 1 soft tire, 1 flat tire... but at least my Colorado Transect project has shifted into high grear.

Milepost 0 - Colorado/Utah line at dawn.

Mamiya 6, 50mm Sekor G, TMax 400/Rodinal 1:50, 1/15th at f/5.6 handheld. Fill light from my car headlamps.

What's the Gene Smith quote? "I love available light - I'll use any light that's available."

Milepost 2 - Rabbit Valley, CO.

Not an official part of the transect, but a good logo for the project. Same tools as bove.
