Shadow on the wall

M6, Portra 400 (with ISO 200), Zeiss 2.8/35

Extraordinary shot! Drama in chiaroscuro.  Hands-down, one of your best, ever.  Enigmatic theater on the street.  Two-dimensional shadow play.  Indonesian puppet theater.  Did you ever see Jane Campion‘s film The Piano with its shadow theater scene?

I really like your picture! I tried out some shots there, too, but have to work on my compositions:

It is certainly challenging, trying to break loose the handcuffs of cliché. Thanks so much for your perceptive comments and engaging my attempts to slip the handcuffs and make a break for it.

Thank you Rog, it´s nothing but my pleasure. As to your "attempts" to slip the handcuffs: You are doing fine!   And after all:    Karl Valentin, a German film maker ( silent movies) , stand up comedian and Dadaist  with  an expressionistic mindset,  said rightly: Kunst ist schön, macht aber viel Arbeit....    Coarsly:     Art is beautiful, but a lot of work....

Long exposure of about five minutes on Silbersalz35 50D in my Leica M4-P with Cron 35, Coolscan V and post processing in Lightroom.

Blue hour in Rovinj - Croatia:

Wow, that's the longest exposure I think I've ever seen with an M film camera.  Very good result!

Maybe I will.  But I have another that I just scanned in that might be better :)

This past Tuesday was "9/11" and each year during that one night (only) the Tribute in Light is displayed, which are giant beams of lights that are projected up to the sky and symbolize the two World Trade Center Towers that were destroyed on that horrible day.

I finally decided to get off of my ass and go out shooting the Lights in the evening and night.   I chose this spot in New Jersey.  There are other great spot as well and next year I shall hit those.

I am still in the process of polishing this up but I share it given the current event relevance.

Hopefully, this is one of at least two...

Tribute in Light - 9/11

Ektar (over 8 minutes), Technorama 617siii, 90mm

very impressive-in every sense...
