I have no idea what is going on here, Rog.  You are taking me on a journey in which the destination is not stated in advance.  Very cool!

I really like this one, Gary.  And it has Delta 100 written all over it :)    A keeper for sure,

This one is really interesting in how the zig zag of the negative space between the large bushes is replicated in the zig zag of the staircase in the distance.

Here comes something a bit more raw: Good old HP5...

Sorry for the redundancy - these sentiments have been uttered numerous times in this thread. Yet, sometimes long standing, temporarily neglected insights hit home again with force. For me, using film side by side with my digital bodies (yes, I do stand by that) is extremely helpful and important to "re-calibrate" my visual aesthetics. Besides being of value of its own, film is invaluable for me to counteract the dangerous momentum of unduly exaggerated postprocessing that looms in the digital realm. Moreover, there are few things more pleasing than winding a recently CLA'd M3, and there is nothing more liberating than using a 90 year old LTM. But sometimes, metering can be helpful, especially with filters.

Land / Sea / Sky

[ M7 ; Summicron 50 (V) f/2 ; Ilford HP5+ ; B+W 090 ; digital capture, no PP other than negative inverting and global contrast adjustment ]

you are so right.  This is why everyone needs at least one film camera.  Your photograph shows a vast range of tones , ranging from deep black to peak highlights, which still have detail.   Even the splashes of water above the wave have an intricate range of contrast and tones.  And don't forget the sky and all of its detail.  The grain and non-clinic aspects of this photograph are what make it so great, at least to a film aesthetic...

Well done..

Thank you. I was never absent, but during the summer was  no time to take pictures nor to develop the few.
