MT0227 Posted September 27, 2016 Share #21661 Posted September 27, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) All the different shades of blues and greens are incredible. Imagine looking down at this with your camera in hand. A vast playground of surreal elements and colors just waiting to be played with and free for the taking. A salivating moment, it was. finarphin Posted September 27, 2016 Share #21664 Posted September 27, 2016 Fin I agree with Gary nice portrait color is perfect IMO Welcome to our thread Have you more ? Thanks for posting Best Henry Thank you. I have plenty more of a similar persuasion. As for the color, not long ago I got Adobe Photoshop again after not having had it for about 10 years; I'm getting used to making color adjustments, although here I was probably lucky with the lens and the light and the film. Next picture: this was about two years ago, right after I got the camera back after having the shutter curtains replaced. It was in June, in the afternoon, and there is a white wall about 25 yards to the right, and also a frown fence, which look to have bounced a lot of light onto the subject. When I got this back from scanning I could hardly believe how good it looked -- the rendition of the lens, I mean -- just like National Geographic, I thought. Well, in those days that's probably what they were using. This is with a Leica IIIf (1951), and a 50mm Summicron collapsible (1953). Welcome, dear visitor! Janis 006a Photoshop med.jpg Lovely and superb portrait well reproduced by film. You know why ? because of the edges and lines of the face not "cutting" but soft like in natural. Thank you Fin for these pictures. I prefer in color for the hair and skin Best Henry

Doc Henry Posted September 27, 2016 Author Share #21674 Posted September 27, 2016 SWC/M + Voigtlander Low Angle Finder TMAX400 D76 1:1 @20C Nikon LS-9000 I took these at a Veteran's Memorial near my house.
