Stunning place, I also just posted a photo of it. We probably could have met...

Yes, indeed a wonderful site! We have been there this April - and I see that you visited some other places we also travelled :)

That looks a lot like a Spitfire John. What a classic silhouette it makes!

Definitely a Spitfire, albeit modified with a second seat for a paying passenger (allegedly thousands of GBP per ride).  It was on its way back from having just flown past about 50 feet above the sea, causing many heads to turn.  Some sort of history about buzzing the White Cliffs of Dover, no Red Baron in sight however.

Not just an appreciation of this image but thanks for the roll you’ve been on with all your recent architectural masterpieces. They say far more than shapes, composition and tones.

That's really kind of you @250swb . It's been fun reacquainting myself with the Mamiya, I rarely use it. Fun too, to visit these great buildings. I don't think I mentioned that this roll of Ilford HP5 was shot at the Brasilia Palace Hotel. It's one of the oldest buildings in Brasilia, started in 1957 and finished the next year. It's another project by Oscar Niemeyer. It was practically destroyed by fire at the end of the seventies and lay derelict until the late nineties, when miraculously it was restored. Brazil doesn't have a good history of maintaining important buildings. Niemeyer's National Theatre in the centre of Brasilia has been abandoned for over 10 years now because no Government has made money available for its renewal. There are many other public buildings in a similar perilous state, unfortunately.
