I have a little bit of an on-off relation with the Ektar-- but your example suggests I take another turn on the carousel. And I like the dynamic perspective. 80mm--not 60 or less ? Definitely the 80/2.8! I exposed this at ISO 80, as that's what I've seen done for development in Diafine, but next time I think I'll try it at 50 as the negs might have been better with a little more density. Slow films are lovely if you have the light, or don't mind a tripod. I have a couple of hundred feet of Rollei Retro 80 in the freezer and I must get around to trying it out. But tomorrow—I gave in to temptation—I have to try out Adox CHS 100 II.

bags27 Posted October 17, 2021 Share #77924 Posted October 17, 2021 (edited) Chris Moss is our guy who pioneered XP2 and HC110. Here: https://www.ilfordphoto.com/ilford-xp2-super-in-black-and-white-chemistry/ Here are some photos I had shot a bit ago with XP2 on the Mamiya 7 80mm the first @ ISO 200 with a yellow filter and the other two @ 100 with a red filter, and just developed in HC110 1:49 for 6:45, close to what Chris recommended. (Tap water closer to 70, but too lazy to throw a couple of ice cubes in. I must have water spotted the negs, but wanted to post a couple of samples anyway. Welcome, dear visitor! Apparently Ektar doesn't like to be underexposed. ☠️ 1

I have considered many times how to induce controlled light leaks, but basically I have no idea. On both rolls of CineStill 800T I had light leaks on first frame. Apparently this film is sensitive enough to catch light leaks just from loading. 1

I believe each Cinestill was a Moviefilm once, carefully cleaned of the gunky black layer, so any anti halation layer long gone piping seems a real possibility.
