I don't see how these could have come out any better.

Thanks Joe! Actually it could have been better if I had been there 15 minutes earlier. The fog was quite thick and the sun low and was not too bright, just a disk.
It would have been really good if I had been able to get it in the frame too.

Messed up or not, and perhaps quite remarkably the development treatment really suits the subjects, as does the toning. I had to look up iridient developer - it looks like it might have some handy post-processing tricks up its digital  sleeve. Anyway this really works beautifully.

Thanks Phil. I got Iridient Developer when Apple Aperture was ditched. It doesn't have as many features are other applications but to be honest I know that I would spend too many long hours if I used Photoshop or Capture1. I think the RAW conversion of Iridient is the best I've seen.

What a mood.  Statisticaly so improbable, way beyond six sigma.... a black swan. Seriously a really nice shot.

Thank you :)

New Years Eve, late 80's. Probably 87. New York City, Times Square.

M4-p/35 cron.  Either Tri-x at 1600 or whatever High Speed film that existed then.

I remember it was very wet and cold but everyone was in good spirits. It's hard to see in this post, but in my print the cop is smiling.

Hi all,

Every year on the second weekend in October we have the "One Challenge", mostly somewhere in a city in Europe which is a great excuse to travel and meet likeminded leica folks. This year was supposed to be in Athens, but the pandemic interfered, so instead it is at everyone's home place. For the participation rules see here :

Charles (Bateleur), Veronique and I will meet up for the occasion in Scheveningen (NL) at the pier at 13h, first for a quick bite, and then for looking for suitable photo opportunities. Should anyone be interested to join us, please let me know.

Best regards,

Christoph
