going street with a rig reduced to the max. Next stop pinhole ?    😄  .    The "crossing" is just great in its rhythm, Chapeau if this  is one of  the first steps with that combo!

Thanks for the feedback, Dr. Klaus. If I'm not mistaken, I heard you've got a Spartan rig, as well, paring down to Bauhaus essentials, as I like to think of it. I had only an M3 and an M-A, and I really wanted a third body to handle another film like ADOX Color Implosion or Fuji Natura, so I would not have to "rush" through the roll. I found a new old stock MDa that would be my dedicated 28mm point-and-shoot Leica with fast film and extreme DOF. Since I wear glasses, the 28mm Leica viewfinder is perfect for me. I can even shoot (almost blind) without my glasses because at f/11-f/16 everything with the 28mm is in focus, anyway. I look now at contrelamontre's 28mm masterful blur in "Pictures at an Exhibition" and want to go through that turnstile, too.

Since you got the ball rolling with these  intimidating  first shots   I'm a bit reluctant to come out of the closet..but yes, I circled around an MD for quite a while and found-not new old stock, but a reasonably clean MD-2 and just returned from a short holiday in the mountains using that "Spartan rig" for the first time. Let's see, if we get beyond the Thermopylae... Different from you, I sold my Summaron 28 II  after a year  ( I had one of the first copies delivered in Germany ) because I got more pics of my fat fingers than anything else. Now of course I'm thinking of buying again.   For starters I've fitted the MD with a CV 21/4. A bit on the short side perhaps, but before jump on the 28 train again, I'll do some some tests with other FL s , namely 24  or 25 .

Anyway, after your promising first results, I'm  anxiously waiting for more !

Thank you for your generous comments citing the Battle of Thermopylae as an allegory for all photographers entering the narrow straits of a landscape to be certain and carry a 28 mm (at least) to fend off the onslaught of mediocrity.

I like the crows in the background. Too bad they were not vultures. Nice shot.

Best

Great photo! And a fascinating comparison. The scan of the negative seems a bit sharper, the scan of the print a bit more pleasing. Of course, the tones are different and are adjustable, but the highlights on her face in the scanned print just seem to capture some inner light.

Chapeau - That's a glorious result from a film I found very exacting!
