philipus Posted June 16, 2020 Share #69844 Posted June 16, 2020 It was shot meterless with the M4 and intended to be ISO400 but given my exposure skills it was probably somewhere between 200-500... philip On 6/14/2020 at 11:38 PM, Kl@usW. said: Very impressive, Philipus. But taken with Leica C, and involving a film camera For the past few years I have, when perusing various photography Blogs, noted that the "Ultimate Point and Shoot Camera" question has provided considerable grist for the mill......as well as much debate and frustration. Not to mention absurdity in pricing for the main contenders to the championship. I laughed as I considered my entry into the fray. Just back from DAG, I give you........"The Ultimate Point And Shoot Camera." And smaller than many, as well as much less in cost (years ago when I purchased.) Best, Wayne Nice, I really like the totally surreal post-processing. Makes it look like a monochrome rotten orange. 12 hours ago, leicamour said: Moon stars and me! Really looking forward to your pictures! Thanks, twice, Philip. I was overwhelmed with the size of the SL66; it sat on the shelf for a couple of months while I contemplated whether or not it was a mistake. I have decided to give it a go. The bellows feature is just too cool, and worth the extra size and weight. It is certainly larger than the Hassy, but the Hassy is by no means a small, light camera. It was an uneventful stroll yesterday, but I did take the "Ultimate Point and Shoot Camera" along, and burned up a roll of TriX. I will post some when I process the roll. Flickr M4 50/2 Gold 200 CS9000 If there's blame to go around, strike up the band for Malevich and the Bauhaus boys and girls. I mean, the Black Square and the encore of White on White, such audacity. I need to underscore how I have agonized over the diagonal, which you have so artistically orchestrated here, not to mention the pro/con arguments you must have wrestled with to include or exclude the one dimensional note, perhaps a window ledge, in the upper right corner. Otherwise, you would have a flat color field composition that alludes to a construction that bleeds beyond the boundaries of the square. That impasto, so delicate a reminder that this is photo-art, and the two white values, just a subtle note. Bravo!
