Murge plateau

A slow bw film would have been better, but my M6 was already loaded from a previous overcast day.

I also shot 2 rolls of expired Vision 2 500T, but I believe I underexposed them because I got shitty negatives.

HB 205, Makro-Planar 135 Bellows, XP2s @400, Rodinal. and yes: tripod

Excuse me derailing the thread, I keep returning to this photograph, the wonderful light and as you say a moment of respite.

Forgot to say I used the M6 with the usual Summicron 35 asph and HP5@1600

Not sure if the surgeon was sober, but the result is soberingly stunning.

Collage.

Hidden behind a grey wall we don't see half, and what we see is behind wire, is unsharp, cloaked in imploding muted colours, promising hope..

Yesterday I took the Holga on a long bike ride on the Illinois prairie. First time in a long while shooting with it. Such a pleasure. HP5+, HC-110h.

You definitely should take your Holge for a ride more often. I like the dream-like results you achieve. As so often, the abstraction provided by the tools, your imperfect lens and colourless film, combine to unique results. Colour film, or the latest sharpest lens may have depicted the same scene, and still given a decidedly different result.

Thank you. I like the last most also. Fortunately, I took a light tripod along. I used a phone meter app and in bulb mode counted "one one thousand" for one second.  The exposure is just right.

Wow, very good. Is there a category " abstract pictorialism" ? Anyway, we don't need categories; and --as I just today did some reading  on wound healing--this doesn't look good...😳 surgery wise...

looking at your Holga pics, you get me thinking if it was wise to decide on the nocti... should have considered the Holga instead. Very convincing, John

here we are again on this interesting  unscharf thing... it´s interesting though, that Christoph looks hopefully through the mesh, while I myself are feeling for my glasses to decide on hope versus resignation. So is this a Rohrschach test ?

Thank you very much, Bateleur for your kind words. I think its important to grab any and each opportunity to fortify our sanity. Looking at pictures does help. Yes.

Looks very promising, Steve.  I imagine this would make a statement on a wall as a large print....

Thank you. I found it surprising rewarding and might extend this into a small Blurb book project. I normally shoot street photography, but this seems like a good initiative as we remain isolated.
