I wrote an article about this wonderful piece of equipment on my site in case you want to read about it https://philipus.com/pc-mutar because I didn't find much info about it on the interwebz. It looks like this: Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! I hate to "like" this but it's a great picture. Greta would be proud to see this I can almost hear the Miami Vice theme Great colours too. I think you did a great job. I visited Arles for the first time this summer and really enjoyed it. Really longing to go back actually. The film and the flare fit the motif perfectly Rog. Seeing grain like this makes me want to blow the picture up to 11 on the humongous scale and put it on a wall. Ha ha, Greta can suck it all up for all I care Thanks, though. And, man, you son of a b$tch just cost me $750 with your review of the PC Mutar. Thanks a lot!!! Seriously, it's beyond awesome. I had never know that an upward shift adapter existed with the Hassy system. It in a way tempts me to swap my SWC for the 40mm so that I can avail myself of this functionality. Rise and fall are hugely handy with landscapes and cityscapes. What do people think???? @adan 1 hour ago, nefarious said: I love all the steam - very evocative of NYC! Popular Post nefarious Posted November 1, 2019 Popular Post Share #64473 Posted November 1, 2019 A couple of weeks ago, I spent a couple of hours at a photographic event at the local cathedral. To be honest, it was a bit of a learning experience for me. I hadn't shot in low light since I was a teenager and never with the Hasselblad. I made a few mistakes but thoroughly enjoyed myself. So for the next while, I will be shifting from Don Valley images to Sheffield Cathedral. These first ones are of a bass relief (I think that's the term). I'm interested whether anyone prefers the low DOF option... Welcome, dear visitor! stray cat Posted November 1, 2019 Share #64474 Posted November 1, 2019 Hmmmmmm... good question. In some ways I do, because there is just enough information for us to deduce what is going on in the picture and that the incredible artistry and detail goes well beyond the single figure. On the other hand the ability to see some more of the richness of that detail is appreciated - and the depth of field is still limited, so much of what applies in the lower d-o-f picture still applies. Overall I think I slightly lean towards the first picture. So glad you had such a great experience and tried something a bit different! 1

Natural vision throws peripheral out of focus, so it's overkill in the second. Still, you placed the focal point figure in the center of the frame. Did you consider putting that figure in the right third of the composition for asymmetry? (It's bas relief.) The visceral reaction is quite marked, or at least mine is. Each tells quite a different story, even though compositionally they are almost identical. Wonderful - thanks Rog.
