I find these a little too stark... I prefer a softer more tonal black and white.

I like the second one best... more creamy if you no what I mean.

What process did you go through to achieve these photos?.

Hi Stuart

Thanks for your comment, a little bit to heavy on the blacks .

Always shoot Raw, Highlight don't get clipped as much, then I have a preset in APERTURE I use selecting Black and White, Channels Red 33%, Green 33% Blue 33%, and adjust Contrast to suit .

Here they are again, not as much contrast

Cheers

Mike

haven't posted in a long time (sorry), but I really appreciate everyone's photos and support for this thread. D2 has special properties that cannot be denied, and it's just pure fun to use...always get compliments and questions whenever I take her out for a stroll.

eg, at the beach last month (ISO 100, f5, 1/640, RAW)...:)

Elpro-D ? ... David, you have a sharp eye :D

Yes, you are right. I managed some weeks ago to secure an Elpro-D. Not an easy task as it took more than a year to find one at a reasonable price (that is, in the mid 200€. I have seen prices around 1,000.00$ in the US ).

The flower is a "Pulsatilla vulgaris".

Picture in raw format and slightly improved with LR5 (clarity, contrast and sharpening). But this has to be said for the D2, the out-of-camera Jpeg was very, very close to the final version.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.

One from a recent trip to Germany (this was in Berlin). Out of the camera colour and B&W have an appealing quality that is very addictive.

Great adds, everyone! A spectacular thread! :D

A classic old Ford Thunderbird here, with a touch of "selective color" from NIK Silver EFEX.
