Thanks Guy. Your photo is lovely.

Here is another from yesterday - an experimental sunset shot from a train as we approached Clapham Junction station in South London.

D2 at ISO 100 and 28mm.

Thanks to Lemalk.

The D2 at ISO100 matches my R-D1s, and the lens is remarkable. I would sooner have a 40mm-equivalent prime, but the zoom on the D2 must be one of the best ever made.

Here are two more. One is from my local church, taken during a break when I was helping clean the place. The other is the best of this year's roses in my back garden.

Best wishes to all

I haven't used my LC1 as much as I used to thanks to my M8 and Olympus E-P2. That being said, I continue to be inspired by the great images this thread has produced.

I'd like to contribute the following prefacing them briefly by saying that they were taken at the Occupy San Diego demonstrations. It was pitch dark and the camera's 400 ISO ceiling was something that caused me some challenges. My girlfriend shot with the M8 and also found herself frustrated thanks to the total darkness.

Here are a couple that I thought worthwhile to share. Thanks...and let's keep this thread going (I need to continue to convince myself that those new Sonys and Fujis ain't such hot stuff!)

Very nice images at ISO 400. I ought to try 200/400 more often. I tend to keep to 100 and leave the aperture on f2, so good is the lens wide open.

Here is another at ISO 100 and 28mm. It's of the modernist penguin pool at the London Zoo - a masterpiece of avant-garde architecture in its day. The penguins have been moved to a bigger pool but it's not as striking as this one.

Did it... Posted my beloved Digilux 2 for sale on this site.

Only mentioning it here because I'd really prefer to see it go to a forum member who understand what a unique tool it is. There's still no equivalent on the market!

A few of my old favorites from the Digilux 2 I had already posted here...

The BW photos made with the Digilux 2 are really outstanding. I love the camera so much, I have already bought a second one. It looks excellent, but has more than 7.000 shutter counts. I got misled by the seller on Ebay, so don't always trust what the seller says, folks. Does anyone have any idea how many shuttercounts I can expect to get from a D2? 10K, 50K, 100K? The photo below was made outside Stavern, along the coast of Norway – Jpg straight out of the camera, Iso 200, f5.6 at 1/60.

Nice shots both of them. The Digilux 2 is so detailed and well balanced in the shadow areas. I always use the digital view finder and expect the shadows to get too dark when I make a photo. Then I see it on my Mac and get surprised – every time.
