ANYBODY THERE???!!!

Recommended Posts

I'm sure it is the new LUF format, too many places to post a question or start a discussion. If people can decide where to post it could be in another sub-forum that would have been 'film' a month ago, and if they can't decide where to post they give up and don't bother. Look how many posts about the 'M' are spread all over the place.

I posted at the same time as yours. I completely agree.

Since the leica product announcements on monday evening, this film sub-forum has nearly ground to a halt! I can only think that people have been seduced by the new M, which doesn't bode well for film.......

I wouldn't worry - it's only natural that all the action is over on the digital sections right now (plenty of people have to justify why they were ever so foolish to think CCDs were better than CMOS sensors, and so on).

In a little while it'll all settle down, and the digital sections will be enumerating bugs and cracks and faulty SD cards just as usual, and film will still be going strong.

I've just been tidying up film "hardware" and film "software" into more appropriate sections.

The new M threads should be in the M9 section (it will be renamed when Andreas can get round to it) and I will try to get to those tomorrow.

The only thing that has changed in the new set up for film users is that there is a camera section and a film section. Hardly very confusing, I'd have thought.

I've just bought a table top freezer exclusively for .... guess what? There was more film than food in the kitchen one :D.

Seeing this thread I went to check my M2, and it's GONE!!

There's just a brief note, "I know it's over, remember the good times we had together, I just don't want to hold you back".

F##K!

These old Leicas are so fickle.

Dissociating film camera's from film is as sensible as having gin in one glass and tonic in another.

It takes two things to make the whole, each is pretty pointless separately.

The point about separating the hardware from the software is the same as for having separate digital camera sections and the processing type section.

At the end of the day, it's not possible to please everyone all the time. This is Andreas's place and how he arranges the furniture is up to him.

I have done a lot of tidying up of threads overnight.
