very good series. These old lenses require a lot of skill. The bokeh is magnificent. For me No 1 is a most charming portrait. Play with colours and sharpness and depth of field is inspiring. Let us have more.

 

Thank you Iduna. What old lens offers sometimes can be a surprise....that's one of the reason that I felt in love with them....will keep this thread going with different type of Old lenses performed on Leica cameras.

I only shoot with "old" lenses - I can't afford any of Leica's new lenses! I love using my 50mm Summicron collapsible with my M9 - the uncoated lens gives a softer look, with less contrast, and give the digital images a film quality.

 

In fact, looking at these photos makes me think I need to break it out today...

Thanks Coop666 sharing your old lens photos here. Yes, yours is a great lens. I like it too. Just like other uncoated old lenses, they all afraid of strong light but if you handle it right they offers you film like photos n incredible bokeh. Great shots!
