If Leica is able to come out with an M10 that is more similar to the film M, then maybe I'll switch to digital. I know photography is not a matter of dimensions but IMO the traditional design has been somewhat altered in the digital M's. Â That is the most disturbing thing of this "M10 affaire"... that little silver wheel... I would prefer a discrete sunk wheel, like that of the X2 or S2... I think the top plate is possibly a mock up to cover the 'real' design. Looking at the screen it is possible it overlaps onto the top plate at the back. Â I am very unsure about the placing of the silver dial and after some staring I am also covinced that mock up is taller than the M9....... If it taller than M9/8 and the body rooms a larger battery, then that too will be an improvement. More buttons means more direct access to functions. It looks promising. Am I the only one? Jeff  +1 I often shoot in wet/damp/snowy weather. When it rains I resort to my film M. Reasonable sealing on the digi M's would be appreciated. It is particularly the lens which reveals that we are talking about an entirely new camera line. We do not need anymore to find all kinds of possible tricks to protect our Leicas against the rain. This camera is a FF weather sealed AF camera, with a completely new range of weather sealed AF lenses. You will of course via adapters be able to use both M and R lenses on the new camera with all communication intact. It is nothing less than the R-solution we see here.
