So what? Â Maybe the irony is that those who have only used digital cameras think that a black and white only camera is new. Well, in the last 60 years, that's not the case. 1940s Leicas took colour photographs too. Â Not since the invention of colour film has anyone made a camera that only take B&W photographs. Â I found my old Polaroid today and the similarity to the MM struck me. This particular model could only take B&W film so like the MM, colour isn't an option. The other day I read about how you could buy a pin hole filter for a M4/3 camera for about USD39 and it was for those not satisfied with a JPEG processing option on Olympus. The Pinwide Micro 4/3 Pinhole Lens  Yes B&W is not new. So are digital cameras which have been around for more than 30 years.  I am sure I had a good reason to buy an M9 and I am sure you did as well. Rick Posted June 11, 2012 Share #15 Â Posted June 11, 2012 James, like you (but a lot unlike you - you know what I mean) my first camera that, I completely forgot about, until you posted, was a Polaroid Swinger... cue cheesy commercial jingle - "Hey ,meet the Swinger, the Polaroid Swinger... and only nineteen dollars and nitty five..." Â It was a B&W only camera. The battery for the flash was in the film box. When you had used the last instant photo the battery would still fire the flash. Which meant, that my older brother could sneak up from behind me when I was watching the TV and flash the Swinger's flash right into my eyes at point blank range! What was wrong with him?
