This is the Stephanssen House in Central Alberta. Originally owned by Stephan Stephanssen the Icelandic poet who is known as "The poet of the Rocky Mountains". The house has been restored to it's 1927 appearance and is open for public viewing.

Bill your canine friend there is hilarious -not sure if he's asking for a towel! or boasting an accomplishment.

Dave,

Stella makes the best of any water she finds. Sometimes it gets a little dirty and smelly. 😊

Ladies and gentlemen, the Rolling Stones - the tiny figures in the lit-up stage, anyway. That far back, the big screens are the only way to see the lads. This is the pyro finale to "Satisfaction," which they always seem to end with.

I got to see them on their last big swing through Seattle. I am fortunate to have a good friend whose wife got him tickets for his 50th (back then...a decade or so ago) and she had no intention of going so she asked if I would escort him! :)

I really like this picture. Tiny is fine - it heightens the spectacle of the event....well done Chuck!

Thank you! I was on the floor for the 2006 show (Sir Mick noted "they called this place something different the last time we were here"), but this time around the tickets for that area were upwards of $500, and I'm beyond slithering over fences to sneak in there. My buddy and I moaned along to "Sweet Virginia," while his wife looked on in horror.

The 2006 show featured a chunk of the main stage that detached and slid out on the runway into the middle of the crowd with the band playing; Charlie had the set list Sharpied onto a sheet of plexiglas next to his drum kit. For this year's show, the band ambled out to the end of the runway to do an acoustic set. They always put on a good show - at the 2013 show I saw in Hyde Park, they brought a youth choir onstage for "You Can't Always Get What You Want," which was a nice touch.
