Seriously, I cannot see giving up the ability to choose either color or b&w from my images, and I have no desire to carry around a 2nd M body. Pass... But the forum population should give a good indication of the % of Leica M enthusiasts who are keen or not keen to buy a B&W digital M camera. The 'general population' ie outside the forum would be biased - because most of the people in it would probably be unaware of exactly what a Leica M camera actually is and what it does - especially when compared to eg a popular digital compact or digital cell phone camera. dunk Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, if this poll shows that a vast majority of members here have no desire to purchase a B&W only digital camera you have to really question the marketing decisions being made in Solms. As for price it scares me to see people here talking about only a £1000 delta between an M9-P and this new body (I call it an MP-. In my mind it needs to be several thousand pounds less expensive to have any hope for success. In a previous life I worked at a sports optics company, and the running joke was that during an engineering planning meeting someone would stand up and shout, "EUREKA!!! WE'LL SELL DOZENS!!!"
