I know a lot of folks are waiting for some sort of M lens. Mine is the new 21. Just curious if anyone has recieved one lately. I thought there would be some showing up by the end of March. If you have yours, I would sure like to know your thoughts when used on the M9. While I am not in a hurry to get mine I sure need it before the end of August for a planned trip to Alaska.

Bill ~

Precision Camera had one of these not 2 weeks ago. I know there is one at Arlington Camera as of yesterday and HCE had one about a week ago. I have also seen them online if local is not your thing.

It is a good lens...

don't forget the finder!

I have one, receiving it last November from my local camera store, Glazer's camera. It's a fantastic, high performance compact optic that is about the same size, but lighter, than the 35 FLE once the hood is mounted. The viewfinder must be purchased separetely, and the Leica 21 mm finders offer a built to help with parallax correction.

Check with Glazers, as they have been getting them in stock, and 1 was sitting there for a bit: 206-624-1100. Ask for Mark.

BTW, I have no affiliation with Glazers, other than as a loyal customer....

I picked up one from a dealer who had it in stock in the UK a month ago. A superb lens which I can highly recommend - it is certainly the best 20/21mm lens that I've ever used (and that includes a fair number).

I guess I have been looking in all the wrong places. My local dealer never seems to have much Leica in stock period but I will check again. I already have the finder which I purchased on ebay a month ago.

Took me all of 4 days from hunting to arriving on my doorstep.

They are not hard to find ..... you just need a bit of legwork......

..... and yes, it is every bit a good as the blurb says.....

Took me a little longer than 4 days, but I have had great luck with Kenmore Camera in WA.

Bought my M9 there.a little over 2 years ago with minimal wait. Earlier this year boghut a 50 summilux with only about a 3 week wait.

And as you say, the 21 SEM is every bit as good as the hype.

I have not checked with Arlington Camera. They did not show one on theri website though.

I have never seen anything Leica on their website other than they are a dealer.

You need to call these dealers, and you need to talk to their Leica person, and you should have your card ready:D

I was just talking with the Pro Shop in West Palm Beach, FL this week and I think they said they had one in stock, but maybe it was another lens. They are open Saturdays so give them a call, 561-263-2606. Or at least put your name on their list. I mostly deal with Jim there for Leica stuff, but anyone can help.
