"I carry my camera everywhere" In what?

No, this is not meant to be another bag thread...

Many of you carry your cameras "everywhere" and I want to start doing this more often, and I'm looking for ideas as to how to protect it. I don't want to use a bag as I'd like something that accommodates the camera alone. I don't think a half case, which I have, is enough protection. Maybe a Leica or other neoprene pouch?

Other thoughts? How do you do it?

I also have an Artisan & Artist case... not the Rina. So well made with quality material and zippers. In 30 years I have owned nothing like it. This manufacturer will definitely have a mode that will meet your needs.

I might add that I carry my camera everywhere. My tiny A&A case fits my M9 & 4 lenses. Sunglasses, wallet, flashcard case, and light meter. The whole kit weighs next to nothing and the bag is comfortable to carry and unobtrusive.

A black Hadley Pro moves the camera and laptop back and forth to the studio while a green Domke F5XB carries the camera and 2 extra lenses with all the etcs. while hiking and a Pelican 1200 does the job on the water. One of these days I'll get a small belt case for the 90 Elmarit + battery + card and then combined with a half case for the camera, I'll have the perfect minimalist kit but I have not found the right belt case yet.

Leica's neoprene pouch does for when the camera isn't in the Billingham bag, but the pouch can at times can be the classic 'never-ready case' if handled the wrong way.

The 'small' neoprene pouch is big enough for the M9 + 28/2 with lens hood fitted, or at a squeeze with the 75/2 (and awkwardly with the viewfinder magnifier).

Stuffed into the glovebox of the car or in the console compartment. Otherwise in a pocket if wearing a coat. If no coat, then it's attached to a tiny wrist strap on my left hand (I'm right handed and prefer to keep my right hand free.) The metal top and bottom plates provide plenty of protection otherwise.

Domke Gripper strap without snaps.

Strolling in fine weather: Crescenzi half-case. In dubious weather: Ditto full case.

Serious-minded: Billingham Small Hadley. Travelling: Billingham 325, because the zippers make it safer, and there's some room for additional life support gear.

My idea of carrying the camera everywhere (like perhaps on a quick trip to the supermarket) isn't to also take a lens selection and the kitchen sink along as well. So when I just want to carry my camera equipment it goes in one of many differently sized bags with some lenses, but I wouldn't traipse around shopping with that lot. But when I want to carry my M everywhere I put a 50mm Elmar on and it either goes over my shoulder (naked without a case), or it goes into my coat pocket in a small neoprene pouch. I wouldn't normally put it into my coat pocket without it being in a pouch (the sort that keeps valuables and car keys dry when out hiking) because of dust.

On work days my D2 goes into my soft sided Targus laptop case (no laptop - the case is a lightweight good substitute for a briefcase), sometimes within a soft cloth bag, sometimes not. Wandering on the weekend? If with Barbara the camera is in a smaller version of JD Laing's solution above -- Barbara has no problem with me having camera gear out anywhere except NYC, where she does not want to appear to be a tourist.

I should have read the question more closely instead of a quick scan. I think the Rina case looks like a good option.

Yes, my question was about protecting just the camera with a lens attached and nothing else. I also think the Rina case looks like it will fit the bill. The Benser also looks interesting. I have a neoprene pouch but as Richardgb noted, it's not always the easiest to use.
