adan Posted February 3, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not my usual type of photo subjects - but along they came and there I was with my Canon 5D2 and this lens (designed originally by ELCAN on a U.S. Navy contract for military surveillance work). Shots at f/3.4. Small insets show the full frame.

janki Posted February 5, 2012 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2012 Thanks Andy! Amazing that it is possible to get such sharp image details out of such a large magnification. Incredibly sad that there is no Leica DSLR where this lens can be used. Anyway, our F16 fighter jets starting to get old now,- it´s a bit of concern in this country that the new F35 planes are not delivered on time. But that´s another story. I just thought I´d mention it if someone responsible within Locheed also read the Leica Forum.:D:D
philipus Posted February 5, 2012 Share #4 Posted February 5, 2012 Thanks for posting these images Andy. Very nice indeed. What adapter do you use to attach the lens to the 5D?

jpattison Posted February 5, 2012 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2012 Incredibly sad that there is no Leica DSLR where this lens can be used. DMRs for the R8/9 are still available second hand, and are worth the investment, you won't regret it John

Boy, do I miss the F16's at our ANG base in Fort Wayne. They were replaced by A10's which are going to be replace by NC6 Recon planes. Where are the F35's?
