christoph_d Posted December 20, 2011 Share #4 Posted December 20, 2011 After a lot of pondering on your images, here my votes: 1st place, 3 points: Eckart What I especially like is the fun use of the light blooming through the leaves. Surprising like nature itself. 2nd place, 2 points: Stefan 2010 Really nice autumn colours, and the dark reflection in the pond adds depth. 3rd place, 1 point: man:men Nice structures, it looks as if it also could be under water... Best regards, good light and some nice packets under the tree! Christoph

philipus Posted December 22, 2011 Share #9 Posted December 22, 2011 Brilliant photos, everybody! 61MGA "Jewels in the bush" 3 points (plus extra points, if I could, for the humorous title). A lovely photo with an excellent interplay between foreground and background, plus nice tonality. mnutzer "Saturday in the park" 2 points. Lovely colours and crisp focus where it matters. I appreciate that an animal is included and that you've captured it as it "spaziers" about. Mikren "The nature strikes back" 1 point. The colours are lovely and the symmetry compelling. The detail in the shadow areas is brought out nicely.

man:men Posted December 28, 2011 Author Share #15 Posted December 28, 2011 This time I made my choice within the consultation of my familiy. And here is our vote: 1. 61MGA, Jewels in the bush 3 pts 2. eckart, Without title 2 pts 3. stefan 2010, Last nice day in the parc 1 pt My family stimulates me also to add some more honourable mentions of us too. And I follow this suggestion gladly. Here they are: mnutzer with his saturday in the park made us smile every time we look at it. mikren with his back-striking natureis formally very well structured. alan philpotts’ with december leaveshas very well captured the mood of a withering year in a sunny way. And christoph_d’s Autumn Leave is a loveable work of laboratory’s art and I really would like to see the original print! Thanks to all the contributors for this very fine contest and to the ones who vote!!

UliWer Posted December 29, 2011 Share #20 Posted December 29, 2011 mdaguy 3 pts.Stefan2010 2 pts. mikren 2 pt. Just saw my fault - though perhaps inconsciously I was right to give equal points to two photos. But I know it's against the rules. So I have to correct my vote: mdaguy 3 pts. Stefan2010 2 pts. mikren 1 pt
