I always love taking pictures of mountains from plane. I keep GPS on and later identify the mountain/region using Google earth. A relaxing way to unwind with single malt after long flight. :)

This is from Sierra Nevada range. The snow covered long lake at the bottom is Garnet Lake. Mt. Banner (or Mt Ritter, both are close to each other) is barely visible poking through cloud cover all the way to the right.

 

The lake is at 9,700ft and Banner/Ritter is around 13K.
