I voted but not just because you're a fellow member but because its a very good image too! :D

P.S. I think you photo is way better than the 1st place winner because its more authentic and not staged like the 1st place one.

I agree with Andy. You had a higher score and your is photograph is far superior to the pathetic contrived scene that won the competition. Maybe you really can't out-do a scantily clad woman. Perhaps you should have hired her for your photo as she clearly wouldn't be loving her job dressed like that in your photo.

As you didn't win millions I guess there are no noctiluxes all round for us forum members:(

Nevertheless, well done!

Mark

ps: When I first saw it I had thought that the photography in the professional film winner Dark Side of the Lens was breathtaking (even though the dialogue a bit contrived) and deserved to win. It is well worth watching!

Many thanks folks; much appreciated :-)

The average score was all to do with the voting; I personally would have preferred there just to be straight judging as some entrants will have a better social network and some not as good, to call on for voting, which took the images through to the next round which was the judging.

As far as the winning image, as Jaap says, it is all about pleasing the judges! I've judged several competitions throughout my career as well as entered quite a few; it's always fascinating what wins and what doesn't!!

Thanks again,

Edmond :-)
