war Posted February 18, 2017 Share #1962 Posted February 18, 2017 Ford's Theater, Washington. But war has it for sure. And I am away from my dusty old archives. Sorry, I was holding off because I didn't have anything ready. I'll post this hoping that it's not too difficult with some hints to start. The house was built on the East coast of the US for a very famous author in his later years and the house is restored to museum quality but is no longer in its original location. war Posted February 19, 2017 Share #1966 Posted February 19, 2017 Hi Michael. Yes, this is only one of several houses this author lived in and it was disassembled, then reconstructed in 1936-37.
war Posted February 26, 2017 Share #1967 Posted February 26, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) This has gone on too long, perhaps this will bring it to an end! You can find this author's name on the front of most US dictionaries. This 1822 house was moved from New Haven Connecticut to an outdoor building museum in Michigan that was founded in 1920 by the man who introduced the assembly line to industry.......... I had to book a ticket 6 months in advance of my visit to get this interior shot. Welcome, dear visitor! adan Posted February 27, 2017 Share #1971 Posted February 27, 2017 Well, I bet I can name that building right now - but I won't be a saboteur to the fun the others will have, figuring it out. Besides, I've run short of entries myself at this point.

AZach Posted February 27, 2017 Share #1973 Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) Looks like the inside of the Statue of Liberty. I remember my father took about the same picture in the 60's to explain the wonders of this early curtain-wall structure.
