Advertisement Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Hi Michael Hiles, Take a look here "Do you know this building?" Game Thread. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 2, 2014 Share #522 Posted December 2, 2014 Hello Michael, Could this be somewhere in the part of the World that was once called Yugoslavia? Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 2, 2014 Share #523 Posted December 2, 2014 Ah, the good old days. But no - and you are getting colder.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 3, 2014 Share #524 Posted December 3, 2014 Hello Michael, If it is not Italy & what used to be Yugoslavia is "colder" then how about Portugal? Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 3, 2014 Share #525 Posted December 3, 2014 Hi Michael, Right direction - but too far. In fact, not the Iberian Peninsula. Or Monaco.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 3, 2014 Share #526 Posted December 3, 2014 Hello Michael, That would seem to lead to the possibility of this being somewhere in France. Which might include an Island or 2 in the Mediterranean. Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 3, 2014 Share #527 Posted December 3, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Michael, France indeed - and mainland France. Maybe a useful clue - one of Les Plus Beaux Villages.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 8, 2014 Share #528 Posted December 8, 2014 Hello Michael, Does that mean that we are somewhere East of Toulon? Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 8, 2014 Share #529 Posted December 8, 2014 Does that mean that we are somewhere East of Toulon? HI Michael Not east of Toulon. This is probably more obscure than I thought or intended. Start in Toulouse and head somewhat north.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 13, 2014 Share #530 Posted December 13, 2014 Hello Michael, It would appear that at least some of the "Do you know this Building" players are sleeping or otherwise occupied. If this building is North of Tolouse: Do we have to go as far North as the Loire Valley? Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 13, 2014 Share #531 Posted December 13, 2014 Hi Michael, I was wondering if my WiFi had indigestion. Not so far north as the Loire. This is more obscure than I imagined - think "small village, fairly short drive (< 1 hr) from Sarlat"
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 13, 2014 Share #532 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) Hello Michael, As you read this 640 km straight North of me: How is the Weather? Here it is 7 degrees C. Anywhere near St Cere? Best Regards, Michael Edited December 13, 2014 by Michael Geschlecht
Michael Hiles Posted December 13, 2014 Share #533 Posted December 13, 2014 Warmer than here (Québec). St-Cirq-Lapopie (a favourite place) is southeast of Sarlet. From Sarlet, drive north for about 30 minutes, not so far as Montignac. Don't drive too fast - you could miss it.
Michael Geschlecht Posted December 13, 2014 Share #534 Posted December 13, 2014 Hello Michael, I am going to have somewhat of a complexity with my internet connection for the next few days so don't be upset if I don't reply for a while after this Post. Hopefully some of the other players will wake up from their Rip Van Winkell-ian slumber & add some of their expertise into this very interesting "guess & seek". Could we possibly be somewhere along or not too far from the Vezere? I'll be back. Best Regards, Michael
Michael Hiles Posted December 13, 2014 Share #535 Posted December 13, 2014 Hi Michael, More specifically, -3°C, with 5cm of light snow. In fact it is beautiful. From Vézère, drive south to Brive-la-Gaillarde, then go southwest-ish towards Montignac. Then you’re close. (And Sarlet is of course Sarlat). No rush.
