So no-one who recognises the Kremlin (for example) in a post can answer unless they've been to Moscow?

I trust that you are just kidding?...

Philip.

Hello Alberti,

When I see photos of places I have been to I usually exclude myself from naming them. Altho  I sometimes write something about the place that is not too much of a hint for others.

I usually have not been to the places that I guess about (But do not identify, because, I do not have the equipment to put a photo in the Forum.)

I identify places by the geography, geology, flora, fauna, climate, style of things like buildings & the materials they are made of, etc.

More fun that way.

Best Regards,

Michael

Here's a new one. The location and the name of either one of these buildings.

Looks to me like "Guild houses" - and thus possibly some place in the range of the Hanseatic League (stretching from ~modern Rotterdam to Kaliningrad, plus the Swedish Baltic Islands)?

Hanseatic League is spot on. Closer to Kaliningrad than Rotterdam.

The Golden Gate of Gdansk.

Correct. The Golden Gate in Gdansk.  It has been repurposed and is now a hotel. You're up next.

For those interested the building to the left is the 15th-17th Century Court of Saint George. Architect Hans Glothau.

Ok. Here is a new building. Name of building and country please.
Just a tip: Perhaps the current poster answering with yes/no can TAG the winner so he/she/it/they/them/that know to continue.
PS. I was questioned by police for this shot. It took 20 minutes.
PPS. I was not jailed.

Hello Al,

Could this be an Embassy Building somewhere East of Warsaw?

Best Regards,

Michael
