OK. Contrary to prior promises, this is not Canada and not really obscure. Landscape architecture - clearly. Give us the name of the place this garden is part of. Not a great picture - but...

Hello Michael,

Winter weather must be keeping people away from their computers.

When I was in undergraduate schol I had an office next to the office of Wilhemina Jashimsky who was an archaeologist excavating at Pompei. Her husband was her photographer.

Could we be somewhere in that neighborhood?

Best Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for adding a bit of adrenaline to this thread. General area of Pompeii - but still more south of the Bay of Naples. Drive south from Sorrento and stay on the hair raising coast road (take the bus if you are the least bit nervous).

ANOTHER WINNER! Right you are. The garden is connected to a Villa Cimbrone in Ravello. It is particularly famous for its view, called the Terrazzo dell'lnfinito, the Terrace of Infinity. It takes my breath away.

So... another obscure picture?

If you insist... This should be simple (at least it was for me).
