Eton is an interesting guess, but not correct. jdlaing has it - this is the forecourt of the British Museum, Great Russell Street.

Didn't they change the name of that museum at some point?

There is also the Natural History Museum in Kensington. Until 1992 it was known as the British Museum (Natural History), not far from the Victoria and Albert. Not the same as the museum in Great Russell Street.
