Thank you to everyone who took part in August's Barnack's Monthly, which was a great success!

The Barnack's Monthly theme for September is: Contrast.

This means any subject to do with "Contrast" in colour or monochrome or infrared or Technicolour or all of them.

It's all about contrast: big and little, smile and frown, off and on, light and dark, wide and narrow, up and down, fast and slow, black and white, fat and thin, wet and dry, rough and smooth, soft and hard, east and west, left and right, flat and bumpy, smiley and grumpy ... whatever contrast you can think of!

The rules are deliberately loose so just let your imagination run wild or start searching back through those pictures you took oh-so long ago that you'd forgotten about and start posting.:D It doesn't have to be your best ever shot and it's not a competition so you might surprise the rest of us and yourself - it's just about sharing some pictures and enjoying yourself!

Everybody's welcome to contribute, any interpretation, any number of posts, any equipment as long as it and the photo complies with the forum's rules. Please post freely - especially newcomers - there's no judging in this thread and please please please resist passing comment on the photos because it may deter new posters from posting!:o

Irene was kind enough to ignore us but by no more than 60 odd kms.

Here then is quite a peaceful yet striking contrast evening view, as opposed to what our Quebec and Vermont neighbours were still getting from her when I took that picture.
