Henry,

If it's "PainShopPro" then I suspect you might be doing something wrong.:D

Pete.

Like it, Pete!

But as often with software, versions in the past have had their moments I'm using VX5 at present which works beautifully now. When first released it didn't and the pain was real; it's marvellous what updates will do! I started using it years ago - V6 or V7 as far as I can remember - and wasn't wildly impressed at first when Corel took it over. I still don't use it for RAW conversion as the free copy of Lightroom which came with my M-E does that better. I've used versions of Elements in the past but prefer PSP on the whole, especially with Lightroom to share the load.

Henry,

I started using PaintShopPro too early on when it was still produced by Jasc. I used Corel's first incarnation of it for a short time but was unimpressed and gravitated to Photoshop and have never looked back. Nowadays I would seriously miss not being able to do a multitude of things (e.g. noise reduction, sharpening, exposure adjustment, layer blending, colour translation etc) in LAB colour space in PS so PSP is no longer an option for my workflow.

Pete,

I expect that if I hadn't got Lightroom, which I like very much, I'd have done the same as you. But there are a number of things I find more convenient to do in PSP so I use that too. They complement each other reasonably well. I also have a copy of Elements 11 which came as part of an offer with Adobe Premiere Elements which I use for video editing. I've had a look round as I'm genuinely interested in tinkering but decided in the end that I had nothing to gain by changing at present. I don't think the full version of Photoshop, even on a monthly sub, would do anything extra for me as things stand, but if I worked in the industry of course I'd use it and use it on a Mac too.

....just started loving the M8. I love older CCD sensors...

What lovely pictures!

I've had my second hand M8 for about four years now and the longer I use it the more I appreciate it. Judging by this thread, the pictures in it and the number of people reading posts in the M8 area, the M8 is well on the way to 'cult status'.

Just bought mine a week and a half ago with a Luigi Half Case plus accessories. The menus are easy to navigate through and it's an overall joy to use.

I generally keep my Elmar-M 50/2.8 attached although I have a bundle of LTM lenses with adapters I plan on using it with.

A couple of shot from last weekend at Manhattan Beach:

Guys, some awesome shots here, has me salivating at the thought of getting yet another M8. I've had a couple previously, and stupidly sold them (once to got to an M9). I miss them, and seeing the top shots posted here am now seriously considering one.

Keep the postings coming.

first shots with M8 & my new/used 50mm Summicron-M f2.......(65 FOV equivalent)

the lens is in like new condition and I just ordered a 6-bit ring so I can code it myself, I didn't realized that it wasn't 6-bit coded when I ordered it but it's a beautiful piece of glass either way.
