thighslapper Posted May 17, 2011 Share #66 Posted May 17, 2011 1st (ex demo) m9 exchanged for new mainly because I discovered it had 5000 exposures on the clock which was stretching the 'as new' description a bit..... 10 months and 7k exposures with no issues. charlesphoto99 Posted May 17, 2011 Share #67 Posted May 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) 17 months, exposures into the 5 figures. No problems, though the battery does tend to run out with a steep curve at the end, and have lost a few shots because of that. Wet cleaned sensor once (maybe twice) and blow it out occasionally. mjm6 Posted May 17, 2011 Share #68 Posted May 17, 2011 These "polls" are useless and predictable . They will attract all the known fanboys and apologists, both the legitimate and the nonsensical and thus have the bias built in... Have had an M9 for 17 months... -Shutter scratched the cover glass, but apparently didn't self destruct -6-bit coding failed In the 30 years that I have been using cameras (professionally, pj through college and otherwise) I have never had a camera fail on it's own.until the M9. It doesn't give me a strong feeling of reliability after two unrelated incidents. However, I do very much like the camera (and rangefinders in general), and will continue to use it unless it turns into a real lemon. Only time will tell. ---Michael

dannh Posted May 18, 2011 Share #80 Posted May 18, 2011 - 13 months Back to NJ twice, one for sensor fault, once for adjustment of RF and lenses, although I'm not sure if they cracked the M9, or just adjusted the lenses for the 2nd trip.
