think that the mountains behind the city are Taunus in the state of Hessen, but have only ancient aerial photos for posting so cannot name the main city itself

I'm a non smoker, so I don't know if there are CAMEL smoking zones. But there are smoking zones like these cabins. And, yes, they have direct flies from and to Chicago  .

Not Zurich, far from Zurich. The town is the home of most of the banks in Germany. North of Zurich is correct.
