Michael,

No, it is not Russia, but it is close. It's the view out of the hotel room window at Hilton Helsinki Strand hotel - towards the east and towards Russia. - It was a good guess: the Russians are some very eager ice fishers! At the direction of the sunrise lies Russia's oldest still working neuclear plant. If it explodes - it will look something like this sunrise...

On to you Michael: you were close.

See you all!

Hello Everybody,

Since I am not very proficient with computers & do not yet have the ability to put a photo on this Forum. In spite of attempts to help from people both on this Forum & here where I live.

I will pass my turn to Post to whoever would like to put something up as a challenge for all of us to try to solve.

I usually only guess close. But not close enough to solve.

Whoever would like to Post: Please do so.

Best Regards,

Michael

Probably not on any scheduled airline route. Neither would I wish to be in large airliner travelling at this height over this terrain.

...and both Snoqualmie and Seattle are in Washington.

yes, thank you for clearing that up for me.

400 miles east of Seattle would put one somewhere around northern Montana--hardly an area know for heavily polluted air.
