gdb Posted June 1, 2012 Share #1182 Posted June 1, 2012 It could, but it's not... You perfectly recognized the area, but it's not the Lac de Neuchâtel. Gérard

gdb Posted June 5, 2012 Share #1186 Posted June 5, 2012 I DO APOLOGIZE !!! in my previous post, I wrote "east" as a hint, but the Jura is on the WEST of Switzerland, and I meant WEST. Awfully sorry Gérard
esquire53 Posted June 5, 2012 Share #1187 Posted June 5, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) well, the Narlay Lake in the Quatre Lacs region is West of Switzerland. Actually I wasn't looking for East or West, but the lakes look familiar... best
gdb Posted June 6, 2012 Share #1188 Posted June 6, 2012 Another hint: the lake in the foreground sheltered a French writer of the 18th century... Gérard
larsv Posted June 7, 2012 Share #1189 Posted June 7, 2012 Bielersee?
gdb Posted June 7, 2012 Share #1190 Posted June 7, 2012 Bingo ! It is the Bielersee (Lac de Bienne). The riddle was the fact that il looked like TWO lakes because it seems to be divided in two by a strip of land. This strip is the "Presqu'île St-Pierre" where the French author Jean-Jacques ROUSSEAU has been living for some time.. In the background is the Lake of Murten or Morat. The picture was shot from the top of the Mont CHASSERAL. Congratulations, over to you... Gérard
