I've been using a IIIF since around 2001.  I use it primarily with a Voigtlander 21mm f/4 lens.

Next LTM lens I bought was the Voigtlander 15mm.  Works best on a If:

I love my Leicavits!  Makes the IIIf & If very easy to use.  Both cameras have been serviced by Don Goldberg DAG Camera and are smooth as butter.

Some of my black enamel and nickel models with 3 different lenses. I was doing some research/maintenance on these this morning, so I took the opportunity to grab a quick shot. From the left, 1932 II Model D with nickel Hektor, 1932 II Model D with nickel Elmar and 1935 III Model F with nickel Summar. In my view, these are some of the nicest looking cameras that Leica ever made, even nicer than the much sought after black paint Ms from the the 1950s and 1960s, but some may disagree.

Agreed. I can't imagine not having one today.

I've only had a Canon 7, Canon 50/1.2 and 135/3.5 (my only 35mm 'kit') for a couple of months, but memories of owning a lllc with a 50/2.8 Elmar several years ago won't go away, and after the effect of this forum (especially the photographs) a trade- in for another lllc or - if budget allows - a lllf seems to be inevitable.    I'd likely keep the Canon 50, adding a necessary SBOOI or similar.

Jimbo, a nice IIIf is not too expensive, I mean a "normal" one not a special limited, or military, or who knows what else. And you can mount the Canon lens in the meantime, then you can get a Leica screw mount.
