About 4,000-5,000 were built, and with the acknowledgement by Leica at Photokina that it would be several years (if ever) before they produce anything else that takes R lenses, I imagine those what got 'em are hanging on to them. I've only seen one priced below GBP2000 in the last 2 years. They've mostly gone for GBP2100 to 2500. I wouldn't sell my pair of DMRs even for GBP2500 each!
