Error message when posting photos

I've started getting this error message when posting photos and I was wondering if this is specific to me or a general problem with the photo forum.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 81 bytes) in /var/www/forum/html/leica-forum/includes/class_core.php on line 3236

I was trying to start a post to include three photos none of which exceeded the 960 a side size nor the limit of 240Mb. Does each member have a limit on the number ( by total file size) of photos they can post?

There is a limit on the number of photographs you can post in the galleries.. Quite low for registered users, if you want more you must be a sposoring member. There is no total limit in the photoforums.

That looks very much like a software error in the forums software. I would think that is has nothing whatsoever to do with what you were trying to do at that particular moment.

I'd advise to

(1) retry posting your post with images

(2) send a PM or mail to admin containing the message you've seen along with the date and the time of the occurrence.

I've just had the same error when trying to post a new (text) thread in Barnack's Bar. I presume it may be a system error, since it's clearly not in this case related to picture size limitations.
