wparsonsgisnet Posted February 28, 2011 Author Share #210 Posted February 28, 2011 ... another preview with numbers for you to have a look at. It is available here: bretteville.com | Many Eyes, One Camera 2011 Carl Carl has made (still) another draft of The Book available. May be it's the last. It has: 1. Numbers on most of the even numbered pages, tho I took away the ones on title pages, 2. Vertically centered images on the numbered pages (I fixed the off-center problem), 3. Some pages with light gray backgrounds (10-11, 24-25, 30-31, 32-33). IThis was done to separate the top of the photo from the white background. Please comment so we can see if this is suitable for everyone. Would you please RECHECK your pix and appendix info. Either I or Blurb may have altered something. Best regards,

erl Posted February 28, 2011 Share #214 Posted February 28, 2011 Bill, it's all looking great, except for my pic on P33 (Deck hand) which still has the grey background. The original image without grey will fit better into the the overall 'look' of the book I believe.
wparsonsgisnet Posted March 1, 2011 Author Share #215 Posted March 1, 2011 Bill, it's all looking great, except for my pic on P33 (Deck hand) which still has the grey background. The original image without grey will fit better into the the overall 'look' of the book I believe. Whatever you would like. If you see my post above, I made 4 pairs of gray-backgrounded pages. You sure you want a white b/g? Regards,

wparsonsgisnet Posted March 4, 2011 Author Share #218 Posted March 4, 2011 I am holding, in my hands, a copy of The Book. 1. There will NOT be an edition of "Any Eyes." I managed not to mess up the title on the spine. 2. I have the soft copy and the pictures on the two covers are magical. 3. I did this so I could see the pages with the light gray background. As mentioned, there are 4 pairs, 10-11, 24-25, 30-31, and 32-33. These pix have light upper portions that otherwise blend into the white of the paper. I think the gray background looks very well -- and, in fact, is not particularly noticeable. 4. I ordered mine with the heavy paper and I like it a great deal. 5. The Appendix has been corrected, with the help of all of you, and I will upload another copy this weekend. The one that is up there has the Appendix with the missing spaces before a couple of section titles. I'll post and email over the weekend. Congratulations to the makers of these beautiful pix. wparsonsgisnet Posted March 6, 2011 Author Share #219 Posted March 6, 2011 DONE. "Many Eyes, One Camera -- 2011" is available on Blurb. This is a beautiful book. My thanks for being part of it. Best regards,
wparsonsgisnet Posted March 6, 2011 Author Share #220 Posted March 6, 2011 BTW, the preview on Blurb shows the entire book. I've been thru it about a dozen times and find it a stunning book. As usual, there are details in the images that I couldn't or didn't see on the screen: the texture of the hat in "Elegant," the texture of the water in "OMG!," the eyes in the children, the luminance of the printed images. One must print to see a photograph. I like the premium paper a lot. It appears that the surfaces on both sides are not the same. I only see this when looking at the gray backgrounds. The same color of gray appears lighter on the left (even numbered) page in comparison to the right page. I like the gray to frame those pictures that needed it. I find it subtle and it enhances the picture. What a blast! Warmest regards,
